Basic spinning gear is included for the expedition. Guests are also welcome to bring their own rods, reels, lures, leaders, tackle, and preferred fishing equipment.
Fly fishing is possible, especially for guests interested in the Arapaima option. Arapaima fishing is strictly fly fishing only and is managed under local village conservation rules. A separate Arapaima permit fee applies, and fly fishing gear rental can be arranged at an additional daily cost.
Guests bringing specialist fishing gear should also bring spare tackle, leaders, hooks, lures, and any preferred replacements, as the expedition operates far from shops and resupply.
The Rewa River system may produce Peacock Bass, Payara, Arowana, Black Piranha, Tiger Catfish, Redtail Catfish, and other tropical freshwater species. Fishing success and target species vary with water levels, season, weather, and river conditions.
Arapaima may be available as a separate fly fishing option under local conservation guidelines.
