This is not a classroom course. Throughout the expedition, participants will use and develop real field skills in a demanding mountain and rainforest environment. You will carry a full expedition rucksack, set up hammock and tarp camps, manage your personal equipment in wet conditions, and learn how to move safely through dense jungle using proper machete awareness and trail discipline.
Daily life on the expedition requires good camp hygiene, careful water management, and the ability to work as part of a small team. You will be moving through steep, uneven terrain where weather, route conditions, and guide decisions may change the plan from day to day. Because of this, flexibility and patience are just as important as physical strength.
The journey also teaches low-impact travel through remote Indigenous territory, with respect for the land, the guides, and the communities who make the expedition possible. More than anything, this expedition develops resilience, teamwork, and calm decision-making under real expedition conditions.
