Our lead instructor and owner, Anders Andersen, boasts an impressive background. With nearly six years of living in Rupununi, Guyana, and experience working as a survival instructor for the esteemed Bushmasters UK, his resume speaks for itself.

Senior Instructor
Our Senior Instructor from Surama village, boasts a history of 25 years in expedition and survival courses. As a child, Lionel traced the footsteps of his ancestors, journeying through the Guyanese jungle in the pursuit of Balata, or Natural Rubber.
His foray into the wild led him to partake in illustrious expeditions and subsequently collaborate with Bushmasters UK. Lionel’s illustrious career includes association with several high-profile tours, such as the ones conducted by Lucy Shepherd and the thrilling abseil down Kaieteur Falls.
As a testament to his commitment to his heritage, Lionel handcrafts bows, arrows, and other essentials for our jungle survival courses, echoing the ancient traditions of his lineage.

SURVIVAL INSTRUCTOR
from Rewa Village is a testament to resilience and unwavering dedication. As a survival instructor and expedition leader, Vivian, even in his thirties, has built an admirable profile, collaborating on TV productions and leading extensive trips.
With a character moulded by his strength, endurance, and perpetual optimism, Vivian showcased his prowess during Lucy Shepherd’s 2021 expedition, rejoining the team post-recovery to complete a challenging 420 km journey.

Over a decade, he has meticulously crafted his reputation as a revered Survival Instructor and Mentor, affiliating with the prestigious Survival School and founding Back to Wilderness.
RayChin’s accolades include trekking the formidable Annapurna Circuit, paddling through the challenging terrains of the Great Glen & River Spey, and immersing himself in the depths of the Amazon Jungle on two distinct occasions.
