Go and explore the rainforest of Guyana on the mighty Essequibo River on this jungle trip designed for families and groups. This trip is perfect for a weekend getaway, and we will depart from Georgetown and venture into the rainforest for an adventure offering fishing, opportunities to see wildlife, camping, and great company. There is plenty to explore, and we can guarantee a trip full of adventurous experiences and activities.

True jungle adventure

The trip can be tailored to suit the desires of the group. We will travel to the small community of Rockstone, and from there, we will embark on boats to reach more secluded areas. The trip will revolve around camping in expedition-style camps, providing a fantastic introduction to all the small but essential details of a safe jungle visit.

Explore the jungle

The small community is located 4-5 hours outside of Georgetown, and here we will find ourselves surrounded by rainforest along the Essequibo River, Guyana’s longest of its kind. The area is teeming with fishing opportunities, nighttime wildlife spotting for snakes and caimans, and opportunities for deeper jungle exploration to discover the flora and fauna. Our evenings will be spent gathered around the fireside, enjoying each other’s company. For those who can’t get enough, we can spend the night exploring the area for wildlife with headlamps.

Our team has experience hosting advanced expeditions and survival courses, but this trip focuses on lighter and more enjoyable activities. It’s all about having a good time and gaining a wonderful experience in the jungle. We have designed this trip to make it possible to embark on a fantastic jungle adventure while still being close to the coast and capital, Georgetown.
